I've only started playing this game recently and just completed this and the shellphone (game is still excellent and immersive after so long!) Just surprised how few people have done the angler's quests - based on achievements - since he can reward you with some of the most essential items, and fishing for jungle crates turned out to be the only sure way I could finish this item. The shellphone obviously requires items related to the angler, but sometimes it's better to just try your luck with fishing crates than delving for buried treasures.

Honestly I think the solutions Journey provide here aren't really much of a problem. Like managing your time better or simply *being* better (capable of playing a higher difficulty) fixes most of them outside of the building itch (though at that point just have a seperate world on Journey for building if youre often in a mood so building focused that you dont even remotely wanna play any other part of the game). I get the convenience factor, but at the same time... - Why focus on maxing everything instead of doing the time specific task? If you truly did everything possible, I guarantee you had a blizzard or sandstorm you could've farmed in. Why did you pass that up? - Upset you lost a fight due to it becoming day? That's part of the challenge. If your dps isnt there, why try again? Use the day time to upgrade so it goes smoother next time instead of robbing yourself by removing the time fsctor. Also make sure to have a plat or tungsten watch to make sure you start as early as possible and can leave the grind to go have another attempt. Personally, I love the anxious downtime between nights like that! I get to go get upgrades while hyping myself up like "this is gonna be the one!! Im gonna show that dumb boss what for next time!" - Farming WoF: Why. Shimmer the accessory if ya didnt get it. The weapon I can see wanting to fight again for, but at the same time it doesn't reaaally matter all that much? And I find most of the time that my Guide respawns fairly quickly anyways. Allowing some time to sort through stuff like quickly going to break some altars or doing some hardmode fishing while you wait. - Refighting a time sensitive boss like Empress several times to try to beat her: I honestly have no words here. I'd just have to say something like... Why. She's fairly on par with other bosses at her level in terms of night time mode. Daytime Id just say keep doing regardless of time for practice, day allowing full real attempts, and night being practice. Anyways I respect the opinion on the topic, I do agree that Journey mode respects your time... in the sense that you get to live out your dreams of being a god, allowing you to control the time and weather at will (epic!!!!1), but Id have to disagree in one slight regard that, honestly, makes choosing Journey EVERY time not worth it. And that's not being able to bring a Journey character anywhere but another Journey world. Completely kills the slight conveniences in my opinion.

also i never use the mana flower. why do 25-50 percent less damage when you can fire for about 10-20 seconds at 400 mana, then wait 3-4 seconds for it to refill regardless of character speed? the luxury of a mana regeneration potion. but i never use a mana power potion. 20% is useless when it only lasts for 4 minutes while the other lasts for 8 minutes. the only time a mana flower, or mana cloak realistically, is useful is when you consume mana too quick like using a nebula blaze or last prism

anyone else stop using boots when getting hardmode wings? i always get frozen wings since thats the easiest type to get. i mean you only need to touch the ground for just a second, or grapple a platform. or replacing boots with that infinite flying accessory that allows infinite flight

i see you conveniently forgot that mana regeneration potions exist, which regenerate mana at full speed, and that warding on 2-3 accessories get rid of the effect that less armor would have

A good tip to get harpy feathers, souls of flight, and the big harpy feather. Is to summon a blood moon and go to a sky island 9-15 harpy’s spawn at a time and 1-2 dragons every 1-2 min spawn at a time. I got 44 souls of flight, 50ish wings, and 2 big feathers in one night.

I am curious as to how this will work with Abigail's ghost. She is pretty useful when the goblins armies attack; I'm a terrible fighter and so she takes the brunt of the army while I deal with the mages.

is it just me or is the dreadnautilus too easy? i beat it first time on expert mode with pre-plantera armor and weapons. i used the blade staff and durendal. i got to half health twice while it does an average of 120 damage per hit. it took about 3 minutes. oh and i had 500 health. oh and i didnt use any chest methods like a box…that just makes you very vulnerable

remember, journey mode is a game mode, not a difficulty, there is a difficulty called journey though. common misconception

4:08 Wrong. This is your fault. The correct thing do to here is to do something else instead. That's literally what makes Terraria fun. It's kinda like a roguelite game, cause each playthrough gives you different opportunities. You _can_ force the game to give you a frost armor set every playthrough. But that's fucking boring. Getting it is boring, too, of course, but my point is that the _result_ is, too. Journey mode makes getting it trivial, which makes the result come true every single time. So you are led into the most powerful build you know every single time. That's kinda shit. It ruins the fun of the entire game...
